Valsione

Valsione

The Valsione (ヴァルシオーネ Varushiōne) is a fictional robot in the Super Robot Wars series. It has appeared as a playable unit in Super Robot Wars 3, Super Robot Wars EX, the Super Robot Wars Alpha series and the Super Robot Wars Original Generation series. Its upgrade, the Valsione R, has appeared as a playable unit in Super Robot Wars 4, Super Robot Wars F Final, the Super Robot Wars Alpha series, the 2nd Super Robot Wars Original Generation, Masō Kishin The Lord of Elemental and Revelation of Evil God.

Appearance[]

The Valsione is a very distinctive mecha, with its female body styling, complete with long, colorful "hair". The Valsione's face is also protected by a covering that resembles human skin, and capable of changing its expressions to match those of its pilot. This makes the Valsione resemble a giant girl in armor.

Technical And Historical[]

The Valsione is a machine built and developed by the Divine Crusaders, under the leadership of Dr. Bian Zoldark. It was specifically designed for his daughter, Lune Zoldark, who was trained to become a pilot at a young age. It may be considered the female counterpart of the much more powerful Valsion, the personal machine to Bian himself (and the most powerful mecha of the Divine Crusaders, excluding the Granzon). According to Lune, she disliked the Valsion's design, so Bian created the Valsione from scratch, using his daughter's appearance as the basis of the machine. Both the Valsione and the Valsion share the same basic technology and weaponry. While less powerful than the Valsion, the Valsione is still quite a versatile robot compared to the usual standards. The Valsione is flight-capable, due to a miniature modified Tesla Drive. This allows it great mobility and speed -- in addition, it is able to make short bursts of speed, giving it an ability to create an "after-image" effect, to confuse enemies. However, this ability comes directly from Lune herself, and not from any piece of equipment on the Valsione. The control system used was the DML (Direct Motion Link) System which was later installed for the DGG series. A special ABMD (Artifical Bone & Muscular tissue Drive) System was also used in unison with the DML System to allow the Valsione to sport human-like facial expressions using AM (Artificial Muscle) Sheaves by mimicking the muscle movements of Lune.

The Valsione is later upgraded into the more powerful Valsione R using La Gias alchemy, when Lune went to La Gias in the events of the Langran War (R stands for Refine in the OG continuity. In older continuities, stands for Return). One of the new additions was a Prana Converter installed to boost its power. Increased armor and mobility as well as new weapons have also been added. It's also said that other upgrades includes the refinement of Valsione R's 3-sizes.

Specifications[]

Valsione[]

Valsione inspector

Valsione redesign in Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector.

Model Number: DCSMH-02

Height: 24.6 Meters

Weight: 39.7 Tons

Weapon Systems:

  • Divine Arm:
A basic sword used for melee combat. It has the same name as the sword used by the Valsion, but it is much smaller and comparably less powerful.
  • Hyper Beam Cannon:
A beam cannon that fires large beam shots.
  • Psycho Blaster:
A very powerful attack, capable of hitting multiple enemy targets. Several bursts of energy originate from the Valsione hands and expand in a spherical area, damaging all enemies within the weapon's range. While very different technologically, its use is very similar, but less powerful, than the Cybuster's Cyflash attack.
  • Cross Smasher:
The most powerful attack of the Valsione, it fires a pair of different coloured beams that spiral around each other into an enemy with a drilling effect. Note that this is the same weapon mounted on the Valsion.

Valsione R[]

Valsioner

Valsione R

Model Number: DCSMH-02R

Height: 28.2 Meters

Weight: 39.7 Tons

Weapon Systems:

  • Divine Arm:
A sword used for melee combat. An improvement over the Valsione's Divine Arm.
  • Divine Blade:
A powerful katana made of Orichalconium, used for melee combat.
  • Makyuu Mirage Ball:
The Valsione summons two spheres of energy from the saucers in her shoulders and then merges them into one ball of spiral energy. Then, it sends the ball into the sky and volleys it to its target, destroying it in an energy explosion.
  • Cross Saucer:
A pair of disk-like weapons, mounted on the Valsione R's shoulders, are launched, flying towards its target, striking it several times in a cutting fashion.
  • Moebius Jade:
An upgraded form of the standard Cross Saucer attack. The saucers are launched, but instead of flying towards the target, both saucers fly in circles over the Valsione, then crash into one another, and shatter into multiple "gems" of energy. Then the Valsione sends the "gems" to surround and obliterate her target.
  • Cross Smasher:
The Valsione fires a pair of different coloured beams that spiral around each other into an enemy with a drilling effect. Note that this is the same weapon mounted on the Valsion.
  • Kakusan Cross Smasher:
An upgraded form of the standard Cross Smasher attack. The Valsione fires multiples Cross Smashers from all sides to one target, obliterating it in a large explosion.
  • Engetsu Sappou:
The final and most powerful attack of the Valsione R. Upon summoning its Divine Blade, the Valsione R brandishes its weapon in a circular motion. With the view of a full moon in the background, the Valsione R flies high into the sky, then delivers a thunderous diagonal slash at its target, following up with a powerful horizontal slash. The effect of the attack is so devastating that the moon in the background and the target is cut in half.
  • Juuhachiban Sankai Nagoya Shibaraku :
A combination attack between the Cybuster and the Valsione R. After making a kabuki performance, Masaki and Lune charges toward their target, striking it at great speed with the Vanity Ripper and the Divine Blade from all sides. Then, the Cybuster attacks from the right, the Valsione from left, cutting the target in half in a syncronized strike.
