The VTX-000 Mironga (ミロンガ) is a fictional robot in the Super Robot Wars series. Tt appeared as an enemy mecha in Super Robot Wars Original Generations and Super Robot Wars Original Generation Gaiden, and later as a playable unit.
Appearance[]
Built for extreme speed and agility, the Mironga's silhouette is gaunt and skeletal. Its multi-joined limbs are elongated, while its torso narrows severely to a miniscule waist. The only embellishments it bears are the spiky fins that adorn its shoulders, knees, and head. These fins are drastically scaled down in its successor unit, the Bartoll, and the back binders eliminated.
Technical And Historical[]
The prototype of the GESTALT 『Global Expanded Stampout Tactics Works Altogethr』series, developed by Wong Heavy Industries. It uses the AMN (Armored Module Network) System and excels at group combat. The final variant, however, also sports an ODE (Omni Dendro Encephalon) System that can override the weaker prototype AMN System, allowing it to push its abilities past its normal limits, and ignoring the dangers of the increased Gs posed to its pilot. Former Divine Crusaders members Wilhelm V. Jürgen, Jiji Roux, and Kyle Bean were involved in its development.
It is fitted with a Tesla Drive and boasts higher speed and mobility than the Fairlions, as stated by Latune Subbota. Its armaments are fairly simple, but geared to capitalize on this in figh-speed hit-and-run tactics. They include a standard beam sword and straight machinegun, as well as multiple micro missile and TBG missile launchers in its binders and shoulders to lay down carpet bombings and suppressive fire.
Its special move, End Breaker, is a high-speed continuous attack that releases the limiter of the ODE system. It mixes a barrage of melee strikes, machinegun fire, and missile bursts at speeds that push machine and pilot to their breaking point (and could even be fatal to normal pilots).
The Mironga would first be used in a battle to repel the Neue Divine Crusaders and later be used in a test battle against the New Aggressors. During the final battle against Kyle and his Mironga the true nature of the AMN System is revealed, the Hagane with assistance of Shu Shirakawa and his Granzon are forced to destroy the machine before it can rampage.
Several more Mironga appear to challenge the Earth Forces as they try to penetrate the orbital factory Hell's Gate and again when Juergen challenges them in the Valsion Kai Type CF. Later Arco Catoir receives a Mironga to pilot.
It is unknown what happens to the remaining Mironga and Bartolls at the end of the Shura Rebellion, but one can assume they were all destroyed.
