The Baruch-type is a fictional robot in the Super Robot Wars series, it has appeared as an enemy unit in 3rd Super Robot Wars Alpha and Super Robot Wars Original Generation The Moon Dwellers piloted by the Balmarian combat unit, Golar Golem.

Technical And Historical[]
A Balmarian unit developed during the Balmar War and are used by the Baalshem combat team, Golar Golem, it incorporates various forms of technology from Earth and is built for primarily recon and stealth missions due to the Jamming Systems installed, despite this they are still very effective in combat with the Ben models equipped with shoulder mounted Katif Cannons, an Aur Blade and the Blade Wheel Buster which can be used for close quarters and ranged combat while the Baal and Ishah command units used by Spectra McCready and Calico McCready would be fitted with remote controlled Shot Scissors mounted on the shoulders wing mounted missile launchers, a chest mounted beam launcher and the Blade Wheel Buster which like the Twin Wheel Buster could be used for both close quarters and ranged combat, the Baal and Ishah models also featured enhanced wing verniers for enhanced speed and mobility compared to the Ben models, the Ishah and Baal models also featured a Deflect Shield barrier for added defense. These machines would appear often during the Balmar War.
In the OG timeline Golar Golem would appear near the climax of the Fury/Gadisword conflict to seek out any remains of Euzeth Gozzo however Spectra and Calico would pilot their own custom variations of the Valk Ben as opposed to the Ishah and Baal.

It's the mass-produced version of the Baruch series machines. The Baalshem clones all pilot them. It's a rather strong machine, though it's much weaker than Baruch Baal and Baruch Ishah.

A unique weapon that can be used for melee and ranged combat, first the Baruch Ben flies forward and throws the top wheel tethered by a cable at its target then after it hits it flies up and grinds the target with the bottom wheel then fires a couple of shots from the center of the weapon.
- Yarah Illusion:
A highspeed combat maneuver exclusive to Calico and Spectra's custom Baruch Ben units in Super Robot Wars Original Generation The Moon Dwellers, Baruch Ben warps around firing shots the Katif Cannons then after delivering a swift blow with the Twin Wheel Buster begins viciously whipping the target with both wheels ending the maneuver by warping above the target and grinding the target and throwing it to the ground.
Baruch Baal and Ishah Specifications[]
The Command units of the Baruch series, they are equipped with stronger weapons then the Baruch Ben and are used by the Golar Golem commanders Calico and Spectra McCready. Spectra's Baruch Ishah is colored primarily white and purple in color while Calico's Baruch Baal is black and yellow. The design of the units Blade Wheel Busters are also different.

- Shot Scissor:
Shoulder mounted remote weapons that are used to repeatedly "bite" the target.
- Blade Wheel Buster:
Fires a shot from the gun portion of the weapon
- Yarah Illusion:
A high speed bombardment attack, the unit warps at high speed firing missiles each time it appears then finishes with a beam fired from the chest area.
- Lakad Ve Yarah:
The Baruch Ball/Ishah's ultimate attack, it starts by flying forward and slicing the target with the blade portion of the Blade Wheel Buster then the unit begins pummeling the target with the wheel tethered with a rope of light before slashing it again with the blade and shooting it 3 times ending the attack.
Trivia[]
- In the official English translations of Super Robot Wars games for this mecha is directly transliterated from Japanese. The probable proper translation for Varuch/Valks is Baruch, from Hebrew ברוך, meaning Blessed.
- This applies to the variations as well. Baruch Ben would translate as Blessed Son, Baruch Ball stands for Blessed Lord. Baruch Ishah stands for Blessed Wife.
- Baal בעל also means husband and Ishah אישה could also mean woman. What the creators were going for is most likely the family dynamic of husband בעל-wife אישה-son בן.
